NZ Fashion Week - Day 4; Zambesi, Workshop and pure JOY!
Yesterday was actually my final day of NZ Fashion Week - today is all about those last minute "before you race off on holiday" tasks. I'd have to say; it was a really great final day. My day started with the MisteR show, which was absolutely one of my weeks highlight shows. How to explain? MisteR is a label from Christchurch whose workroom was in the Red Zone, so the design team had to re-locate to their garage to complete their collection. Add to that, they were approached by Cerebal Palsey sufferer Josh Perry to 'walk' in their show. He opened it in his wheelchair. It seemed an entirely appropriate way to open a show titled "Not that Grimm" - and the show itself was gorgeous. Not just that the clothes were gorgeous, more that the aptmosphere was one of pure joy. Let's just say it's the only show this week (so far) where the jaded fashion crowd actually gave the designers a standing ovation. It felt GOOD to be there.

Next up, Sable & Minx and Brady - eminently wearable collections that are great sellers season after season. Really gorgeous colour, great cuts - it's all pretty much here.

The last on-site show yesterday belonged to Zambesi - and wow - did it ever pop! Total retina burn with fluro yellow walking up the runway. Somehow it seemed completely right. My photos are pretty naff, so I've nabbed one from the NZFW Facebook page to show you what I mean:

The other day, when I was talking about seating - I posted a shot over Megan from thread.co.nz's shoulder. I think its only far that I show you Megan and her friend/fellow fashion observer friend Anya from the front. These two ladies are absolutely lovely and I have to tell you, the fashion industry seems to attract it's share of not so lovely people, so it's great to see these gals at events.

Last show for me last night was Workshop and Helen Cherry, held in the Town Hall. It was great - a great aptmosphere with great clothes in the great hall. I got to sit next to the gorgeous Julia from Kathryn Wilson who was telling me all about their show (on the schedule tonight). Loved the show - desperately want the Helen Cherry onesie and that's just the start...

And Finally my Day Four Outfit: Complex Geometries silk tee worn with Zambesi shorts and Pinko boots.
