Last week we had the super cool Grayson Coutts – make-up extraordinaire come into the Studio to give the Stylists some new hints & tricks on using the latest Smashbox products. My arm had been willingly twisted & I was to be Grayson’s model – Gosh it's hard being SuperGirl sometimes!
 
I have to admit being seated in front of my colleagues (colleagues = fabulous Stylists!) bare faced & make-up free for an hour was slightly nerve racking and Jody was quite right when she said “are you blushing?!!!” however, all in the call of duty...

The knowledge from both Grayson & the team was amazing – I had 4 experts answering all my “I’ve always wanted to know …” questions about make-up. The day look Grayson first applied was effortless and cool but when he transformed to the evening look – smoky sexy eye included – I was in the zone! “Who’s in for lunch at the Viaduct then?”

Alas, I didn’t head into town to flaunt my new look – there was work to be done. We were all busy preparing to welcome clients to the Studio for our Smashbox evening.  I genuinely think that our clients are the best that any company could ask for, & we really wanted to put something on to show them just how much we appreciate them - so we decided to host a series of intimate make-up evenings (sort of a Girls' Night out) where everyone is treated to a night of bubbles & nibbles but, most importantly, a mini make-over!  
 
By the end of the evening we were all buzzing with the positive vibe in the Studio.   Clients came & went, goodie bag in hand, (better than the ones at Fashion Week in my humble opinion) looking fabulous.  Some were heading out for a drink, others off to the Comedy Club & others just enjoying a break from their busy schedules. 
 
The coolest thing happened the next day when I went to thank people for coming. I had few messages waiting. They had beaten me to it! We had lovely emails thanking us for a wonderful evening – proving that we really do have the BEST clients - but be careful ladies – you’ll do me out of a job!
